We have a unique way of ending your binding and going around those corners!! We’ll have a binding kit prepared for you. You’ll be able to take home your sample to help you remember future bindings that you will be applying to your finished quilted tops!!

Bunny Quilt - This seasonal quilt may be made in a variety of sizes from a 3 bunny table runner up to a 30 bunny queen sized quilt. In class you will focus on the bunnies and the machine buttonhole stitch - turning corners, curves, creating design lines and beginning and ending and perfect points.

Machine Quilting 101 - Using some practice squares we will learn the basics of machine quilting. We will talk about needles, threads, battings and basic supplies needed as well as basting, anchoring, stitching in the ditch and straight line quilting. We will then drop our feed dogs and explore stitching both designs and backgrounds with free motions quilting. If you enroll in an evening class, you will only need paper and pencil for the first night of class.

Paper Piecing 101 - Using Carol Doak’s book on beginning paper piecing we will make this delightful little heart wall hanging just in time for Valentines day. Machine paper piecing is a method that allows you to create accurate patchwork pieces quickly and easily. You simply cut oversized fabric pieces and stitch them in sequence to a paper foundation. If this is a new technique for you I will see you in class!

Paper Piecing “Little Bits” - Taking paper piecing to the next level choose any of several tissue paper patterns by Cindi Edgerton. These small quilts are a great way to showcase the precision of foundation piecing that is sure to impress friends and family. We teach this class with a month between sessions giving you time to stitch the individual unites before stitching them into your completed project. Don’t be afraid - you CAN do it!! Paper Piecing “Let’s Get Serious”!!
There are so many large paper piecing patterns available that can be a little overwhelming to begin. Let Faye get you started with more confidence by organizing your patterns and fabrics. Choose any of Karen Stones, the Possibilities patterns or Judy Niemeyer’s patterns for this class. Trust me, getting started is definitely the hardest part.

Raw Edge Applique - Raw edge applique has just stepped up a notch with beautiful wall hangings from Laundry Basket Designs and others. A discussion of fabric selection, fusibles, tracing and cutting will be covered at the first session leaving time for assembling and free form machine quilting in the second class. You choose your favorite pattern for this class.
