· Outer fabric: fat quarter
· Lining: fat quarter
· Flower: fat quarter
· Batting: 9-1/2” x 6-1/2”
· 2” of Velcro
· Lobster clasp
· 7/8” button
· Strong thread (polyester or carpet/upholstery thread) to match flower fabric
· Hand sewing needle
· Pencil or silver gelly roll pen
· Multi-circled template, such as Staedtler professional Combo Circle Template, available at office supply stores
· Small Clover iron and pressing mat (a small wooden cutting board works great!)
· Sewing machine in good working order and accessories….Please know how to operate your machine.  We will not have time in class to learn about our machines and sew our projects.
· General sewing supplies:  pins, scissors, seam ripper, etc.

Fabric preparation:

From Outer fabric, cut:
· (1) 9-1/2” x 4-1/4” (body)
· (1) 6-1/2” x 1-3/4” (tab)
· (1) 1-1/2” x 12” (strap)

From Lining, cut:
· (1) 9-1/4” x 4-1/4” (body)
· (1) 6-1/2” x 1-3/4” (tab)

From Batting, cut:
· (1) 9-1/2” x 4-1/4” (body)
· (1) 6-1/2” x 1-3/4” (tab)

From Flower fabric, cut:
· (1) 1-1/2” x 15-1/2” BIAS strip (outer petal)
· 1” x 10-1/2” BIAS strip (inner petal)
· (2) 2-1/4” squares (flower center)
