How much fun these little blocks will be! Watch your garden grow and bloom as we stitch these little 3” blocks! Classes will have additional handouts for suggested projects for your posey packets, or collect and stitch the Posey Packets for the full-sized replica of Florrie’s Garden quilt.
· Patterns: Posey Packets, 1-12 (These little packets include your background fabric.)
· “Baltimore Elegance”, by Elly Sienkiewicz (This is optional, but will be helpful in learning appliqué techniques.)
· Fabric: scraps for appliqué and 9-patch blocks· Embroidery scissors (recommend Gingher G5s)
· SHARP! scissors for cutting paper
· Water soluble glue stick
· Silver jelly roll pen or PaperMate Sharpwriter #2 lead pencil
· Sandpaper board*
· DMC 50wt. machine embroidery thread OR #100 YLI silk thread Color #235
· Quilting/between needles, Size 10
· Extra fine silk pins
* You may purchase a sandpaper board OR use an old 6-1/2” square ruler. Place double-stick tape on the perimeter of the wrong side of the square ruler. Place ruler wrong side down onto the back of a sheet of 220 fine grid sandpaper. Using and OLD rotary cutter blade, trim around the outside edges of the 6-1/2” square…instant sandpaper board!
